Meadow Well Metro Station is on the Tyne and Wear Metro. It was formerly called Smith's Park. The station is located on an estate where the Meadow Well Riots took place, and although the area has greatly improved, the estate's still poor condition means the station is a common target of Juvenile Deliquency and congregating youths.
