Mežakla is a long undulating plateau, about 15 km long, above Jesenice. It ranges approximately from 1200 to 1400 meters in height. It is covered mostly with spruce and beech trees. There are many pastures and clear streams on the plateau. Mežakla is part of the Triglav National Park but tourism is underdeveloped.
