[edit] December 2007

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Facebook, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. This is especially important when dealing with biographies of living people, but applies to all Wikipedia articles. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. Thank you. GlassCobra 08:35, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

I understand the verification process, but do not agree with the wholesale deletion of a person's comments without giving them, or another person, the opportunity to edit their comment. No one does that on any page I normally edit. I would like to add the following:

Many recently-formed Facebook groups address user concerns that applications have complicating the Facebook format.[1][2][3]

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Facebook. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Facebook groups are not necessarily a neutral point of view. They are effectively forums, and these are not reliable sources of information. Please leave your addition off unless you can find an external, reliable source that talks about this. Thanks. ~~ [Jam][talk] 18:11, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Fine, you win. The statement was that several groups existed. I provided several groups. The second statement was that some have felt that applications should be limited. I provided the same. I have no problem with facebook and couldn't give a damn about applications one way or the other. I have trouble believing the same for the editors of this article.

Actually, I use Facebook all the time, and yes, I hate getting application requests all the time. However, groups are unreliable sources of information (exactly like a forum would not be considered here). However, I don't have a problem with your second statement (which I should have left intact, but didn't the first time around). I don't mind what is there now. Other editors may take a different view, but that is their decision. ~~ [Jam][talk] 18:29, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] LSU Football

After you undid my revision, I re-read the passage and realized it was talking about Alabama's rivelries and hence looked and saw that Tennessee is the correct entry. Auburn and Tennessee would be correct. Geaux Tigers. --Pparazorback (talk) 21:02, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Baltimore bus beating

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Baltimore bus beating, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 18:59, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

I have proposed this article you have contributed to, Baltimore bus beating for deletion following a recommendation by someone else, but I actually support keeping the information contained within this article, but merging it into one or more other articles. Some of these may include MTA Maryland Route 27, MTA Maryland Route 15, Maryland Transit Administration, or a new page generally about crime on the MTA Maryland system not limited to a single incident. I very much encourage you to participate in the AFD discussion.Sebwite (talk) 02:54, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Baltimore bus beating

An editor has nominated Baltimore bus beating, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Baltimore bus beating and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 02:59, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Auburn LSU Rivalry

Looks like you got the references fixed; I haven't read over any of your changes yet, but thanks for getting the cites rolling. AUTiger » talk 00:09, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, it was a rookie mistake. Thanks for replying though. Mdlawmba (talk) 00:11, 4 January 2008 (UTC) BTW, sorry for making it seem even more biased today with the addition of the Dorsey comments. I can assist in the addition of references during the off-season. Mdlawmba (talk) 00:30, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Auburn-LSU rivalry

Hello, I just left a note at Talk:Auburn-LSU rivalry. I'm wondering if everyone is happy enough with the neutrality of the article so that the NPOV tag can come off. Thanks, Johntex\talk 02:36, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
