The MCW Metroliner was a coach built by Metro Cammell Weymann (MCW) in the 1980s. The Metroliner was available as a standard single deck coach[1], or the more numerous and striking multi-axle double-deck coach.

The Metroliner saw service in the UK with long distance coach operators such as the nationalised National Express Coaches[2] for their Rapide operation, and Scottish Citylink, as well as other independent operators such as the Clipper service of the Armstrong Galley coach division of Busways[3].

It also saw operation with commuter coach operations, such as the short-lived Kentish Express of Kentish Bus[4], Alder Valley[5] and the Oxford Bus Companys Oxford Citylink[6].

After retiring from coaching duties, due to their stylish appearance and long length, many double-deck Metroliners were converted to open-top buses by Ensign bus, for use on their London Pride Sightseeing operation, latterly passing to The Original Tour. Metroliners also found use on standard long distance bus route, and various private hire and non-PSV uses.
