Description
English: en:Mare Crisium, also known as the "Sea of Crisis", is

located in the Crisium basin, just northeast of Mare Tranquillitatis. This basin is of the Nectarian epoch, while the mare material is of the Upper Imbrian epoch. This mare is 376 miles in diameter, with many notable features in and around it.

The cape-like feature protruding into the southeast of the mare is Promonitorium Agarum. On the western rim of the mare you can make out the ghost crater Yerkes. The crater Picard can be seen, just to the east of Yerkes. You can also make out the crater Peirce , just northwest of Picard. Mare Anguis can be clearly seen just to the

northeast of Mare Crisium.
