Didn't Wayne Rogers ("Trapper John") leave M*A*S*H before McLean Stevenson? McLean may have been the first actor to die, but he wasn't the first to leave.

Nope, McLean Stevenson was the first to leave the show. The final episode of the 1974-75 season titled ""Abyssinia Henry'" was McLean's final episode of M*A*S*H as he had decided to leave the show. As fate would have it, it was also Wayne Rogers' final episode as well, however, he decided not to return after the season was over. So, if looking at it strictly as "which was the last to appear in an episode of M*A*S*H", it could fairly be argued that both McLean and Wayne left at the same time as their final episodes were the same one. However, McLean did announce that he was leaving 1st.
