McLendon-Chisholm is a city in Rockwall County, Texas, United States. The population was 914 at the 2000 census.

McLendon-Chisholm is located at 32°50′46″N, 96°23′24″W (32.846035, -96.390123)[3].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 9.9 square miles (25.8 km²), of which, 9.9 square miles (25.6 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.2 km²) of it (0.90%) is water.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 914 people, 302 households, and 260 families residing in the city. The population density was 92.6 people per square mile (35.8/km²). There were 308 housing units at an average density of 31.2/sq mi (12.0/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 98.03% White, 0.22% African American, 0.55% Native American, 0.66% Asian, 0.22% from other races, and 0.33% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.19% of the population.

There were 302 households out of which 43.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 81.1% were married couples living together, 4.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 13.6% were non-families. 12.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.03 and the average family size was 3.31.

In the city the population was spread out with 29.0% under the age of 18, 6.9% from 18 to 24, 27.0% from 25 to 44, 29.6% from 45 to 64, and 7.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 103.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.5 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $81,079, and the median income for a family was $87,618. Males had a median income of $52,692 versus $34,583 for females. The per capita income for the city was $32,256. About 1.8% of families and 3.8% of the population were below the poverty line, including 6.0% of those under age 18 and 3.1% of those age 65 or over.
