McGill is a census-designated place (CDP) in White Pine County, Nevada, United States. The population was 1,054 at the 2000 census.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 1,054 people, 448 households, and 305 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 953.9 people per square mile (370.0/km²). There were 599 housing units at an average density of 542.1/sq mi (210.3/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 91.72% White, 2.75% Native American, 2.3% Croatian, 0.19% Asian, 0.09% Pacific Islander, 1.80% from other races, and 1.14% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.74% of the population.
There were 448 households out of which 26.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.9% were married couples living together, 8.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.7% were non-families. 27.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.35 and the average family size was 2.89.
In the CDP the population was spread out with 24.7% under the age of 18, 6.4% from 18 to 24, 22.8% from 25 to 44, 25.0% from 45 to 64, and 21.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 43 years. For every 100 females there were 97.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.5 males.
The median income for a household in the CDP was $32,039, and the median income for a family was $42,679. Males had a median income of $36,149 versus $19,813 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $15,643. About 11.0% of families and 10.5% of the population were below the poverty line, including 13.0% of those under age 18 and none of those age 65 or over.
