[edit] Your request for adminship
Hello. I noticed your recently-posted request for adminship, and thought I should leave a note about it here.
Adminship, while technically "no big deal", is something that RfA !voters like to give only when they believe that the candidate will not misuse the tools - that is, if they trust them. Unfortunately, this means that candidates need an extensive history here in order to succeed in their request, particularly since many users hold them to standards of their own: it's generally accepted that a minimum of a few months' active participation, and at least a thousand or so edits are necessary to prove that they know their way around and can be trusted.
As a result, it's very unlikely that your request will be successful this time around, since you have only 178 edits at the moment. You can withdraw the request by simply saying that you'd like to below your self-introduction, and it will be removed from the page without prejudice. I'd suggest doing so, since people will inevitable pile on in opposition - an experience that can be soul-destroying at times.
From looking through a few of your contributions, you do appear to be a good editor, and I'd like to see more of you around. You might find it useful to request an editor review, which will provide a few tips on how to expand your experience in such a way that people will be happy to support you. If you'd like to re-apply for adminship, feel free to do so in about three months' time and make sure to edit regularly in the meantime - withdrawn and unsuccessful RfA bear no prejudice, and you won't be judged unfairly in any future request.
Good luck in the future, and I hope to see you sticking around. Happy editing! :) Daveydweeb (chat/patch) 01:00, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Yorkshire hip hop
I've reverted your redirect - I don't think this is the right procedure, it might have been better to have merged with British hip hop. It would be useful to have your comments on the talk page of Yorkshire hip hop in any case. Please don't reply to me personally, let's move this discussion to the talk page of Yorkshire hip hop. [edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:Cwcs logo mid.jpg
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Cwcs logo mid.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 20:26, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Notability of 679 (number)
A tag has been placed on 679 (number) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Jeodesic 12:12, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of Rising Son
An editor has nominated Rising Son, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rising Son and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 01:59, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
