Editing Guidelines |
Please remember these guidelines when editing a film article:
- If a non-film article already exists with the name of the film that you are trying to create an article for, disambiguate and use (film) in the title: Film Title (film)
- When writing an article about a particular film, the general format should be a concise lead section, followed by a plot summary of no more than 900 words, production details, a cast list, a reception section, and references.
- Create an Infobox that tells all pertinent information about the film.

Hong Kong To-do:
- Clean up all MTR station pages. They are literally all over the place. Two model pages are Tsing Yi Station and Sheung Shui Station. They each describe a feature special to the station, Station layout, exit, and connections, as well as neighbouring stations and the station "box".
- We will also need plenty of updated pictures (e.g. removing all KCR-related images except those on the KCR article). Check that all pages have basically the same language structure as Tsing Yi Station and Sheung Shui Station. Links to location maps are good too. (Should also perform these checks on Chinese Wikipedia.)
- Clean-up pages that link with TVB, especially its series pages.

[edit] Hi all~
Dear all, I am one of the student of YJMS0001, Jim. Hi all~ Nice to work with you guys. I think we have given quite a lot of information about McDull and McMug already. But the first thing we need to do is to rearrange the page. Do you think so?
[edit] Origin of the names
In the movie about McDull, a bowl-like container (dull 兜 in Cantonese) flew through the sky like an UFO and landed next to McDull's birth bed. I assume McDull is named after the container. The use of Mc in the name probably is based on the illustrator Alice Mak's family name and then Westernized after McDonald's restaurant. McMug probably is based on another container, a mug (嘜 in Cantonese). While dull is the English transliteration of the Cantonese word 兜, 嘜 is the Cantonese transliteration of the English word "mug". Any confirmation on the origin of these names? Kowloonese 00:13, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
麥 IS the 麥 from McDonald's chinese characters: 麥當勞.
[edit] Help with official name
I'm writing a section on RTHKs "春 田 花 花 中 華 博 物 館" does anyone have available the English title used in Hong Kong for this series. (I can make a literal translation i.e. Springfield Floral Chinese Museum but I would prefer to use the official English name. And does anyone have the name of mc Dull's nursery in English.
