[edit] Block?

{{helpme}} I have been blocked for some reason. How can I get my userid unblocked please?

Hm. I don't see that you've been directly blocked, but it's possible your IP address could have been blocked due to vandalism. Here's what to do:
  1. Log out.
  2. Go to your IP's user talk page and check for any block notices.
If there is one:
  1. If there is a block notice, it'll usually specify why you've been blocked.
  2. If it is because you are on an open proxy, you're probably out of luck. Check that link for directions on what to do.
  3. If it's due to vandalism (more likely), then add this code: {{unblock|Please modify the terms of this block to a soft block if possible. [[User:MCadbury|This user]] has made good-faith edits and would like to continue doing so. Please check their talk page for confirmation.}}
  4. Then log back in and leave a note here that you are the editor who left the above code, with a link to your IP's talk page.
If there isn't one:
  1. Check the block log (Enter your IP address in "user" to check for it alone).
  2. If there is a recent, active entry, follow the above steps.
  3. If not, log back in and put up another helpme template.
Hope this helps. Hersfold (t/a/c) 03:12, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

I've unblocked you. Sorry about this, there seems to have been a misunderstanding, you were mistaken for a "sockpuppet" of a notorious banned user who keeps editing the Turkey article with new accounts every day. Fut.Perf. 06:09, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

My apologies, it's just that time of month, you know? hang on, I don't get that. I was busting a particularly iniquitous sockfarm and you drifted across the radar; I fired without thinking. I'm sorry, we do all make mistakes sometimes. Cheers, Moreschi Talk 09:52, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion of Jericho

Howdy, could you please explain why you deleted Jericho from the list of oldest cities? You left no editing comments justifying the change and so the change looks suspiciously like vandalism.—Mrand T-C 18:29, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
