McAlister's Deli is a chain of fast casual restaurants founded in 1989 in Oxford, Mississippi by retired dentist Dr. Don Newcomb. They currently have over 200 locations in 18 states, mostly in the southeastern United States. Their menu includes deli sandwiches, "Texas-size" spuds (baked potatoes), soups, salads, and desserts, as well as catering items such as sandwich trays and boxed lunches . They are also famous for their sweet tea, which is available by the glass or by the gallon.

The original restaurant was started in a renovated gas station, and many of the elements of that original look are present in most every McAlister's Deli built today, such as a garage door, and nostalgic black-and-white tile.

McAlister's Deli Corporation is a privately held company, run by Philip Friedman, CEO. Most McAlister's Deli restaurants are owned and operated by independent franchising, ranging from single-location, family-owned operations, to larger, multi-unit groups such as JME, Inc., MAC Corporation (based in South Carolina) and SPRC. The main headquarter is located in Ridgeland, MS.

Recently, a new sandwich was created with the help of Saints RB Deuce McAllister called "The Deuce". It is made of grilled chicken, melted cheese, honey mustard, and a spicy Creole sauce.
