[edit] Greetings
Greetings, fellow Wikipedian, and welcome to my user page!
If I knew that someone actually saw this, I would probably be flattered. However, I have no way of knowing who, if anyone, is looking me up. But, if you wish, you can tell me what you thought of my user page or leave any other comments you might have by clicking here to append to my talk page!
That's all I have to say for now. I hope you enjoy browsing this page, and I'll see you around. (Yes, it's probably unlikely that we will actually see each other around, but I'm not about to change the expression simply because of this minor detail.)
[edit] About me
I've done some minor editing on Wikipedia for a while, but recently decided to sign up for an account. And now for a quick list of random (in the sense that they are not all interrelated) bits of personal information:
- I chose my Internet name, MC Squared, to reflect my appreciation of the sciences and of word play.
- My interests are wide-ranging. Here are a few general topics I count among them: physics, astronomy, mathematics, computer programming, biochemistry, psychology, and Romance languages. I aspire to be a Renaissance man.
- I like to drink "tea, Earl Grey, hot."
- If you picked up on the allusion on the previous line, I salute you! I am a trekkie. (I think that "trekkie" sounds better than "trekker," despite the perceived derogatory connotation of the former.)
There really isn't much else I could put in such a section except perhaps an explanation of a truth that should be self-evident: a human being cannot be summed up in a few sentences. What I have chosen to put here can (and was intended to) only give you a general impression of who I am. If there is anything specific you wish to know about me or if for any other reason you would like to contact me, feel free to send me an e-mail.

[edit] No barnstars, please
Before I forget, I would like to let you know that this is a barnstar-free zone. I say this not because I have anything against barnstars, but because I do not believe that any of my contributions deserve special recognition. At the same time, it is possible that visitors to my user page who see the image but don't read this text will get the impression that I am an important contributor and that I have not received any barnstars only because I asked not to be awarded any! In fact, that's what I'm hoping for.
[edit] More userboxes
I think userboxes are a great idea, don't you? Some are useful, some are funny. Unfortunately, they seem to be a bit cluttersome. That is why the userboxes which describe me, with the exception of the language-related ones, have been placed on a separate page. You can find them by clicking here.
