Female rapper, originally born in Stockholm Sweden in 1983. Started her career alongside L.A.- raised and Copenhagen based rapper ALX, whom she gained critical acclaim with during the release of their first 12" produced by DJ Noize, in 2002.
MC Tia and ALX opened their own record label "Okayhater" which became an extremely visited and credited underground name.However it closed down in 2005 when they parted ways.
She then continued to feature on several national mixtapes, compilations and radio show features until she in 2005 kicked off her own career. She moved from Copenhagen to Stockholm, where she spent the next 3 years performing her new solo material, with the backup from Swedish acknowledged DJ Silence. They played together at infamous venues such as "Jazzclub Fasching".
It was also here in Stockholm, that she recorded her EP "Shades of Variety", and the extremely internationally and popular song "Anything for you", which recently reached 14.000 plays on her [www.myspace.com/mctia.]
In 2007 she released "The Super Fresh Remix Mixtape" featuring known and less known names such as French Dj Champion; DJ Netik , spanish Dj Bobbybob and her own live dj and producer DJ Lp2.
She has since toured in France, Sweden, Denmark, Turkey and featured on the international anti-censorship song "152 mesures contre censure" together with NGO Freemuse.
Playing the popular venues like VEGA, Stengade and RUST she has the Copenhagen scene covered, but sells most of her records in the USA and Worldwide.
She has been part of the live jazzband "MC Tia & The Urban Jazz Bandits" and is currently touring with the live hip hop funk band "Rap-O-Rama".
