MC Shy D

MC Shy D (born Peter Jones) in Bronx, New York, was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Shy D began his rap career with the label Luke Skywalker Records in 1987 during the Miami Bass era when he released the albums Got To Be Tough in 1987 and Comin' Correct in 1988. Comin' Correct gained MC Shy D more recognition with the hit song Shake It. MC Shy D released the album Don't Sweat Me in 1989, before going on a long layoff and returning to the music industry in 1993 with his album The Comeback that featured DJ Smurf. MC Shy D is also Afrika Bambaataa's cousin. Shy D is known for fast rapping and having a high-pitched voice. [1]
