Genie Rodriguez, AKA "MC Gee Gee", is the sister of the late Danny "D-Boy" Rodriguez and a Christian rap artist in her own right. She was inspired to begin rapping as a way to continue her brother's legacy after a drive-by shooting claimed his life in 1990 as he ministered in the inner city area of Dallas, Texas where their parents operated a ministry known as Street Church Academy.
