[edit] Education
Self-Taught Knowledge
Although many people have described me as an extremely intelligent person and have attributed that fact to the high standards of the schools I have attended, the truth is that I have been actively educating myself using published material from the time I began attending school. The focus of these studies has and still is placed on my primary interests in the fields of History and Aviation. I am an extremely well-read individual and many of my close friends who know this have remarked that I am a "walking encyclopedia" on many topics.
[edit] Boy Scouts of America
I have been a member of the Boy Scouts of America since 1994. After earning all ranks in the Cub Scouting program, I crossed over into Boy Scouts proper in late 1999. I progressed through the early ranks quickly, and by 2001 I had achieved Life Rank. I was elected to the Order of the Arrow in 2001, and in 2003 I achieved Brotherhood membership in the same organization. In 2004 I began work on the final 3 merit badges I needed for the rank of Eagle Scout and in early 2005 I began planning my Eagle Project. My Eagle Project was carried out in August 2005 and involved placing hazardous dumping warnings on the storm drains in my neighborhood. My Eagle Board of Review was carried out on 16 November 2005, and my Eagle Court of Honor was conducted on 21 January 2006 in conjunction with 4 other Eagle Scouts from my troop who had also earned the rank within the past 11 months. In February 2006 I earned a Bronze Palm for additional merit badges earned past the required amount to achieve Eagle Scout. After I turned 18 in 2006, I re-registered as an Assistant Scoutmaster with my troop and still participate to this day. I am a member of the National Eagle Scout Association, and I hope to one day earn the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award.
