[edit] Eesh Safari
Main article: Eesh Safari
Eesh Safari (Live Safari) is a TV reality show produced by the Middle East Broadcasting Center for the channel MBC 3. It stars a variety of children from around the Arab World, going on an organized trip to a natural sanctuary in South Africa, and later Thailand in the sequel. The TV show uses the slogan "Haitho La Makan Ella Lel Shoj'an" which means "Where There's No Place Except For The Brave". There's currently 2 seasons, and a third season will be firstly aired on February 23, 2008. As said on TV, the third season will take place in Australia.
[edit] Qololi Kaif
Qololi Kaif (Tell Me How) is an encyclopedic TV show for children, which features a scientific subject each episode, with the channel's main presenter Dania as also the presenter of this show.
[edit] Men Al-Aqwa
Men Al-Aqwa (Who's The Strongest) is a television game show for children, which focuses on scientific questions and physical contests, both combined in this show.
[edit] Channel Periods
The channel MBC 3 has 4 periods, which are: Disney on '3, Jetix on '3, Toddlers Time and Girls Time. The channel uses these periods, publicly, to categorize the shows aired on the channel. However, some shows are uncategorized, such as the children (or teen) live action shows, and the night movies which can be only seen on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
[edit] Disney on '3
Disney on '3 is the first "categorized period" seen on MBC 3, which is only 1 hour of including 2 Walt Disney cartoon shows, which are changed without following a specific timing.. however taking at least more than 1 month. Lilo and Stitch, Fillmore!, Teamo Supremo and many other Disney shows are in this period. Surprisingly, the Buzz Lightyear 2D animated show is never considered part of this channel period, although it's a Walt Disney show spun-off the popular Toy Story films.
[edit] Jetix on '3 and Tashweeq Bela Hodod
Jetix on '3, which is before the period Tashweeq Bela Hodod (Unlimited Suspense), includes shows which are originally aired on the TV channel Jetix, e.g. Sonic X, NASCAR Racers and several other shows. The Jetix on '3 period is 1 hour long, divided to 2 different shows, which takes place from 2 to 3 PM KSA, then the Tashweeq Bela Hodod continues from 3 PM to 5 PM KSA. Tashweeq Bela Hodod is mainly focused on Action genre animation such as A.T.O.M., Xiaolin Showdown and used to previously air the popular Yu-Gi-Oh! (GX and normal) series.
[edit] Girls Time
""Girls Time"" (5 - 6 PM KSA) is the MBC 3 period which is dedicated to young female audiences, but not limited to them. In Arabic, it's named Faqaret Al-Banat. It includes shows which have girls as the protagonists, such as Totally Spies, The Powerpuff Girls, W.I.T.C.H and several girl animated shows. Girls Time is 1 hour long, divided to 2 different shows.
[edit] Toddlers Time
Toddlers Time, or Children Time, is the period dedicated to young children which are approximately aged between 2 to 5 years old. The period's main focus is on the little children and toddlers which, usually, come earlier from school (or are still too young) than the other MBC 3 audiences. The period shows popular (mostly British) children TV shows in English. The period takes time from early in the morning, approximately 6 AM, until 1 PM when the "Disney on '3" period starts.
[edit] Uncategorized Shows
Uncategorized Shows can be divided to Live action (e.g. Power Rangers, That's so Raven, Hannah Montana), Classical Cartoons (Tom & Jerry, Looney Tunes) and lastly the night movie, which is only shown on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
