Talk:Mayer f-function

The Mayer f-function is emphatically not a special function in the sense that this is commonly used in mathematics. This begs the question how to categorize named objects like these, that clearly only have relevance to a specific subject area i.e. statistical physics in this case. Other examples that I can think of are: Boltzmann weight, the y-function.
