Mayumi Azuma

Mayumi Azuma (東 まゆみ Azuma Mayumi?), born April 24, 1975, is a Japanese mangaka who is the creator of the ongoing manga Elemental Gelade, which was adapted into a 26-episode television anime series, and its ongoing spinoff manga Elemental Gelade: Flag of Blue Sky. She is also recognized for creating the manga adaptation of Star Ocean: The Second Story that is based on the video game.
Before her career as a mangaka took off, she started out working as an assistant to mangaka Kozue Amano, creator of Aria.
