Mayo College Girls' School or MCGS follows the House System, with five dormitory-like houses, named, Sanyogita, Padmini, Meera, Karunawati and Charumati. These are named after princesses of Rajasthan. Additionally, there is holding house that houses students from Class IV and V. The house is supervised and maintained by House Mistresses and House Matrons.

After the final exams, a Midterm Educational Trip is organized which is mandatory for all students to attend. Students are taken to various parts of the country. Students also travel to different part of India and abroad to take part in competitions such as Indian Public School Conference (IPSC)[1] events and Round Square Conferences. There are also student-exchange programmes with schools in the UK and Australia.

Soon, she is joined by her team of captains consisting of the School Vice Captain, Games Captain, House Captains, House Vice Captains, House Prefects and various Society Presidents. There is also a Student Council that mediates between the student body and the teachers, while also suggesting ideas for the betterment of school. A few of the various awards are School Colors, Academic and Cultural Scholarships, Best All Rounder Award and sports Trophies. A tally of points from competitions round the year and conduct of students is done at the end, and the Best House Trophy is awarded. This means much to the students who spend a lot of time and energy trying to win points and good marks for the house while avoiding bad marks.

All festivals are celebrated in school, some being Holi, Lohri, Id, Saraswati Puja, Basant Panchami and Diwali. On Gandhi Jayanti, the school helpers are given some time off and students engage in shram daan which spans from cleaning to cooking. Inter house Competitions such as Swimming Meet, Art and Craft, Music and Dance, Computer Science, Cricket, Hockey and many others bring the best out of students.
