Mayfield Senior School is a Catholic, independent, college preparatory school founded in 1931 for young women grades 9-12, sponsored by the Society of the Holy Child Jesus and a member of the Holy Child Network of Schools and guided by the educational philosophy of the Society's foundress, Cornelia Connelly.

It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. The total enrollment is about 300. It is located at 500 Bellefontaine Street in Pasadena,California, USA. It is commonly known as a school that provides an excellent academic education and offers the opportunity to participate in a classically oriented Conservatory for the Arts and outstanding athletic program. Mayfield's administration is also deeply committed to the students’ emotional and spiritual development.

The campus that Mayfield Senior School is situated on was formerly a private residence. Film crews frequently shoot commercials, television shows and movies in the "house" portion of the school.

Students graduate from Mayfield Senior School well-prepared for any future study. Indeed, 100% of its graduates are accepted to colleges and universities. Students take classes in eight different subject areas: English, Fine Arts, Foreign Languages, Mathematics, Physical Education, Religious Studies, Science, and Social Studies. Graduation requirements include:

- 4 years of English
- 4 years of Religious Studies
- 3 years of Mathematics
- 3 years same Foreign Language OR
- 2 years each of two different Foreign Languages
- 3 years of Social Studies
- 2 years of Laboratory Science
- 2 years of Physical Education (1 year mandatory for freshmen, the other may be completed with athletics programs)
- 1 year of Fine Arts (may be completed through the Conservatory program)
- Educational technology
- Community service

Admission to Mayfield is quite competitive, and the school regularly receives 300 applications for only 75 spots in its entering freshman class.
