Mayfield Fund is a venture capital firm located on Sand Hill Road in Menlo Park, California, home to many of Silicon Valley's leading venture capital firms.

Mayfield was founded in 1969 by Thomas J. Davis, Jr., one of the first venture capitalists. Mayfield has raised 12 funds to date and has more than $2.7 billion under management. Since its inception, Mayfield has invested in more than 470 companies, taken over 100 companies public, and facilitated 150 mergers and acquisitions. Some notable investments include Compaq, Silicon Graphics, 3COM, Amgen, Genentech, Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Sandisk, Legato Software, Citrix, Advent Software, Nuance, Tibco, webMethods, Peribit, and Snapfish.

Mayfield has eight managing directors including Yogen Dalal, Kevin Fong, Janice Roberts, Robin Vasan, Allen Morgan, David Ladd, Navin Chaddha, Raj Kapoor and James Beck. Dalal joined the firm in 1991 and Fong joined in 1988, from Claris and David Systems, respectively. Dalal was also a member of the original Star and Ethernet development teams at Xerox and co-authored the TCP specification while at Stanford University. Raj Kapoor joined the firm in January 2005 after serving as founder and CEO of Snapfish, the online photo service, where Dalal was a Board Member.

Mayfield's investments are across the life cycle of investment from early-stage to growth-stage primarily in information technology companies with a focus on enterprise software, Internet consumer & media services, and communications.
