Mayank Tehlan

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mayank Tehlan (born 11 October 1986, in Delhi) is a useful middle-order batsman and is one of the older members of the Indian U19 World Cup squad. He has played five first-class matches for Delhi and has scored one century, a powerful 176 from a mammoth 403 balls in his debut match against Maharashtra.

He has played 13 ODIs for the Indian U19 side, however has failed to live up to his early promise, scoring only one half-century. Although not known for his bowling, he has picked up five wickets in ODIs, all coming in one match versus England, which suggests that the captain would be willing to throw the ball to him for a couple of overs if necessary.

Tehlan's cousin is Virender Sehwag.
