This non-article page is a Category listing associated with some topical aspect of Mesoamerica. The WP:MESO project periodically monitors the assignment of articles to this category, and maintains the overall Mesoamerican category scheme.

Using both the category 'Maya gods' and 'Maya deities' is confusing. 'Gods' can be understood in contrast to goddesses, but is also, and more generally, a full equivalent of 'deities'. Therefore, there should not be a category (which is really a sub-category) 'Maya gods' under the heading 'Maya deities'. As a matter of fact, the Maya gods include goddesses.86.87.62.150 17:36, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
