COMCON-2 is "Committee for Control", not "Committee for Contacts" (as is COMCON). If corrected, COMCON should be probably also mentioned (just to explain the names). Misha Stepanov 09:04, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

The edit [1] changes the meaning. Because of it there is an impression that Kammerer became a head of UE department during the Great Revelation (that is not true, see Document 2 in VGV (VGV, Introduction) that is a letter from Kammerer (already as a head of UE department) to the president of "Ural-North" sector of COMCON-2; the letter is dated by year 94, and at that time there was nothing known about Ludens and the Great Revelation). My, you are persistent... Ok, here is the question: was Kammerer the Head of COMCON-2 back then or not? If he wasn't - who was? --Koveras 14:55, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

I'm not aware of any data that mentions whether Kammerer was a head of COMCON-2 ot not and who exactly was a head of COMCON-2 after Sikorski or during the Great Revelation. The only place where such data could possibly be found is VGV, and I doubt it is there. In VGV the highest official of COMCON-2 mentioned is the president of "Ural-North" sector (Mikhail "Athos" Sidorov). Because of his illness he was temporarily substituted by Gennady Komov. See Document 15 in VGV (VGV), where Athos mentions this (once again, Kammerer is referenced as the head of UE department, as in Document 20, etc.). Also Komov is referenced as a acting president of "Ural-North" sector at the very beginning of Document 19 in VGV (VGV). Kammerer calls Komov his direct boss in conversation with Logovenko (Document 17). I'm not aware of any discussion in VGV about how important the "Ural-North" sector is. I believe that UE department is just based in "Ural-North" sector, or Kammerer being the head of UE department has his office in the sector, but UE department is not strictly the sub-department of the sector. There is no much data given about subordination details in COMCON-2. My position on information presentation is the following: 1) if the information is known to be wrong it should be fixed; 2) if we don't want to fix it claiming that the information is not important, it is better just to remove it; 3) it is better not to say something that is just our fantasy. --Misha Stepanov, 128.165.96.84 06:06, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
