Maximo (MRO)

Maximo is a strategic asset and service management system that runs on a number of databases including Oracle, SQL Server and IBM DB2. It is used by a wide variety of organizations ranging from municipal and county governments, to corporations to government contractors. MRO, the provider of Maximo, was acquired by IBM in August 2006.
Maximo Release 6 (previously known as MXES) is built upon a J2EE Service Oriented Architecture. Maximo Release 6 is the subsequent release of Maximo after Release 5, which was MRO Software's first web-based version.
The latest version of Maximo is an Enterprise Asset Management, Service Management and IT asset management suite of applications that are scalable and easily integrated into existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. IBM has released the latest version of Maximo i.e Maximo 7.1
