Maximilian, Prince of Hornes

Maximilian Emanuel, Prince of Hornes, Count of Baucignies and of Solre-le-Château, was born 31 August 1695 in Brussels and died 12 January 1763 in Saint-Martin/Brussel. He was awarded the Austrian Order of the Golden Fleece in 1749. His Principality was surrounded by the Bishopric of Liège. His father was Philippe Emanuel, Prince of Hornes and his mother was Princess Marie Anne Antoinette of Ligne. He married Lady Marie Therese Charlotte Bruce. His children were:

  1. Princess Marie Therese Josepha of Hornes (19 October 1725 - 19 June 1783)
  2. Princess Elizabeth Philippine Claudine of Hornes (5 October 1733 - 25 January 1825) (her daughter married Charles Edward Stuart, aka Bonnie Prince Charlie).

He was also married to Princess Henriette Therese Norbertine of Salm-Kyrburg and to Princess Marie Albertine of Gavre.
