Maximilian, Margrave of Baden (Maximilian Andreas Friedrich Gustav Ernst August Bernhard, born 3 July 1933 in Schloss Salem, Salem, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. He is the son of Prince Berthold, Margrave of Baden and Princess Theodora of Greece and Denmark. Through his mother, he is the nephew of The Duke of Edinburgh and is first cousin to Prince Charles, Princess Anne, The Duke of York, and The Earl of Wessex.

He married Archduchess Valerie of Austria daughter of Archduke Hubertus of Austria and Princess Rosemary of Salm-Salm, on 23 September 1966 in Salem, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, in a civil marriage. They were married in a religious ceremony on 30 September 1966 in Schloss Persenbeug, Austria.

Because he married a Catholic, Maximilian is not in the Line of succession to the British Throne.
