Maxima supermarket

Maxima is a Lithuanian supermarket chain and is the biggest retail chain in the Baltics ovned by VP Market. They offer foodstuffs and household merchandise. Maxima has 369 stores open internationally. Depending on the size of the Maxima superstore, they can offer 3,000 to 65,000 brands every day. Maxima superstores is available in Bulgaria (T-market), Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The company's legal name is Maxima LT UAB, but its Baltic subsidiaries are Known as 'Maxima Latvia SIA' and 'Maxima Eesti OÜ'.

Three maxima stores were opened in Vilnius in 1992, since then it has become the Baltics most successful supermarket chain. Maxima opened in Latvia during the late 1990s.Today, Maxima controls 20% of the retail market in Latvia. Maxima opened in Estonia in 2001, in the city of Pärnu. Today, Maxima only controls 8% of the market retail in Estonia. Maxima entered the Bulgarian market in 2005, under the name T-MARKET.

Recently, Maxima LT decided to withdraw from the Romanian market by selling its outlet 'Albinuta' to the ownership of the company 'ProfiRom food'. The contracts concerning sale of all the shares of 'Albinuta shops' was signed on April 18th, 2007

Maxima Superstores controls five formats of stores, Maxima x, Maxima xx, Maxima xxx, hyper Maxima and Maxima Bazė. Bazė is also available as a separate store, Bazė cash & carry

- Linea oecologica - a brand for ecological products with a certified organic origin.
- Linea vitalis - a brand of healthy lifestyle and diet products.
