Maxene Magalona (born Maxene Sofia Maria Arroyo Magalona on November 23, 1986 in Manila, Philippines) is a Filipina actress born in a prominent showbiz family. Her father is the Filipino rapper/actor/TV hose Francis Magalona and her grandparents are the late actors Pancho Magalona and Tita Duran. The role of Alwina in Mulawin was originally given to her, but she had to turn down the offer in order for her to focus more on her studies at that time. It was later given to Angel Locsin. [1] To date, her biggest break on television is when she was chosen to be one of Richard Gutierrez's leading ladies in Kamandag. [2]
