Max Planck Institute for Immunobiology

The Max Planck Institute for Immunobiology is a research institute of the Max Planck Society located in Freiburg, Germany. The institute was founded on the premises of a pharmaceutical company in 1961.
The Nobel laureate (1984) Georges J. F. Köhler worked at the institute from 1984 until his death in 1995.

The International Max Planck Research School for Molecular and Cellular Biology is a graduate program offering a Ph.D. The school is run in cooperation with the Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg.
