Max Manus is upcoming movie based on real events from the life of Max Manus (1914-96) after his contribution in the Winter War against the Soviet Union. The story follows him trough the outbreak of the war in Norway and until peacetime in 1945. Its budget is estimated to be 50 MNOK, very expensive by Norwegian standards.

After fighting the communists in Finland, Max Manus returns to Norway, currently occupied by the Nazis. He joins with the Norwegian resistance movement in their fight against the Germans but is arrested. He manages to escape to England where he receives training before being sent back to Norway to do various sabotage missions against occupational force.
