Cal Henrik Max Magnus Norman (born July 30, 1973) is a Swedish artist, painter, and sculptor.

[edit] Overview

Norman was born in Sundsvall, Medelpad. He paints visions and dreamlike images, such kind of images which might appear in front of one's eyes when the consciousness is submerged in a meditative state or in dreams. Norman depicts these visions as accurately as possible which results in paintings with a photorealistic quality.

Max Magnus Norman is best known to an international audience for his works intended to spread virally among social networks on the Internet. Norman's art and stunts and events inspired by them are recurring events on link sites such as eBaumsworld.com, Fark.com and in numerous forums and social networks. Max Magnus Norman also works as a sculptor, he then sets up small absurd scenes with totem-like creatures and people. The sculptures are often humorous but are always rooted in a spiritual or social context.

Norman is selected to represent Sweden in the sculpting of the M2M, Monument to Mankind project.

Norman is also the creator behind the popular computer game Abashera.
