Max Kaminsky Trophy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Max Kaminsky Trophy is awarded each year to the most outstanding defenceman in the Ontario Hockey League. Prior to 1969, the same trophy was awarded to the most sportsmanlike player in the league; since then, that player has been awarded the William Hanley Trophy.
The award is named in honour of Max Kaminsky, who coached the St. Catharines Tee Pees to the Memorial Cup in 1960 and died shortly thereafter of cancer.
