[edit] Biography

Max Cream was born in Los Angeles to an English father and American mother.

Cream bagan playing organised soccer for local club Fullerton Rangers at the age of five. He progressed through the higher levels of local youth soccer before getting his first taste of professional action when at fifteen he trained with the Los Angeles Galaxy, whom he would later return to on trial as a professional player. He eventually moved to London at age sixteen.

Upon his UK arrival, he was in contact with English sides Sunderland , Liverpool and Scottish sides Rangers and Dundee United who were all interested in taking a look at the young American. He eventually chose to stay with his first attempted club, Dundee United after a successful trial with the club.

After playing with Dundee United's youth team for the 04/05 season he made the switch to Scottish Premier League rivals Dunfermline. His only first team appearances for the Fife club came in two friendlies against Rangers and Hearts. He eventually left Dunfermline at the end of the 2006 season.[citation needed]

After leaving Dunfermline he had a short stint with Los Angeles Galaxy, the club he supported as a kid, scoring in a friendly, the assist coming from American soccer legend Alexi Lalas. His time in LA was cut short after the sacking of the management at the time. Cream spent the rest of the 2006/07 season training with German side Werder Bremen II.

He signed a professional contract with SV Meppen on June 31, 2007 and left the club by mutual consent December 31, 2007.

Cream joined Irish club Shelbourne on February 27, 2008 after a successful trial with the Dublin club. He made his competitive debut for Shels in the 2008 Football League of Ireland Cup second round in a 0-2 loss to 2007 Eircom Premier League champions Drogheda United.[1]
