[edit] Rolf Aamot

Thank you for working on the article on Rolf Aamot. Although I didn't look closely at the work that you did, I have no complaint about this. However, something about the article seemed odd, so I decided to look at the luminous-lint.com link. I realized that the article had from its start early this year been merely a slightly altered copy of this luminous-link.com article, which says nothing about GFDL but on the contrary: "Copyright © Alan Griffiths 2003-2006 / Contributors retain copyright over their submissions". I therefore deleted the article.

My deletion of this article does not mean that I think no article on Aamot should exist here. You are welcome to create a new article that doesn't violate copyright. -- Hoary 23:55, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

Hoary, I do think the Wikipedia page came first. I will investigate further. As it says on that page - contributors retain copyright over their submissions, so the copyright is with Rolf Aamot and not with Luminous Lint in regards to the submitted material. All materials and text submitted to and posted on Luminous Lindt has been provided by Rolf Aamot. Why would there be a problem? Please explain. Thank you.

I don't know which came first. But the LL page says Copyright © Alan Griffiths 2003-2006 / Contributors retain copyright over their submissions which does not mean that Aamot wrote everything and anyway says that it's all copyright. (If the WP page did come first, then LL violated GFDL.)
Again, there's nothing wrong with the creation of a new and different page about Aamot. You're very welcome to go ahead and do it. -- Hoary 23:00, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
PS: On my page you write: When this is all figured out I will make a new page. It would be easy to make it just as it was, but I just want to make sure there will not be a problem again first. If you make the "new" page just as it was, I or somebody else will delete it; if you write the new page so that it's very different from the LL page, everybody will be happy.
(Let's continue the conversation here rather than on my talk page.) -- Hoary 23:05, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

OK, I will make a new page on Rolf Aamot to avoid any problems.

Good, because he certainly deserves an article. I'm looking forward to seeing your new one. -- Hoary 02:45, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Horay, Please let me know if you think the new article is acceptable. Thank you.

It looks good. Thank you for your work, and again I regret having had to waste some of your time before. -- Hoary 02:54, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

Great, thank you Hoary.
