Clearly, it is not possible to emerge from a cave 17 months before you enter it:
- On December 14, 1988, Montalbini entered the Frasassi grotto of the Apennine Mountains, near Ancona. A video feed was set up to monitor him from the surface. He emerged on July 12, 1987
However, I can't find any references to this particular event, so it's not clear how the dates are wrong. Jeodesic (talk) 12:30, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
