[edit] studying the cook islands

i've recently started studying the cook islands. i was inspired to start on this project by the research i was doing on the aleuts. perhaps one will ask: how does studying the aleuts inspire one to do research on the cook islands? it's a long story... Gringo300 09:26, 6 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Update to page

I have just returned from Mauke. I've updated the information to note that power is available 24 hours a day (the islanders tell me it has been for about 4 years now). i have also recommended the local harbour as a good place to swim, along with the underground caves (but the latter, only for the adventurous). I have a non-commercial web site about the Cook Islands which includes lots of pictures and information about Mauke - [1]
