Maurico Ariel Caranta (born on July 31, 1978 in Bell Ville, Córdoba) is an Argentine professional goalkeeper currently playing at Argentine club Boca Juniors.
Caranta started his career with Instituto de Córdoba in 1999. He helped Instituto to win the Primera B Nacional Apertura 2003 tournament and promotion to the Primera Division Argentina later in the 2003-2004 season.
In 2005 he moved to Mexican club Santos Laguna before returning to Argentina to play for Boca in 2007, conquering the Copa Libertadores 2007 as their first-choice goalkeeper.
