Maurice Aurilius Stovall (born February 21, 1985) is an American football wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who is also one of the team's starting gunners. Stovall grew up in Philadelphia and went to Archbishop John Carroll High School. Following his high school career, he played in the 2002 U.S. Army All-American Bowl. One of the top ranked wide receiver prospects out of high school, Stovall attended the University of Notre Dame, and was selected in the third round of the 2006 NFL Draft. A deeply religious man, he made the sign of the cross as he hauled in his first career touchdown pass against Detroit in Week 7 of 2007. He is a competent and accomplished gunner on special teams. Coach Jon Gruden gave him the nickname "Gunner Stovall".
