Maureen Jennings is a British-born Canadian writer. Born on Eastfield Road in Birmingham, England she spent her formative years there until she emigrated to Canada at the age of seventeen with her mother. She is best known as the author of the Detective Murdoch series, which have been turned into a television series, Murdoch Mysteries.
