Maur Hill - Mount Academy

Maur Hill Mount Academy is a coed Catholic, boarding high school in Atchison, Kansas. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. The school was formed in 2003 with the merger of Maur Hill Prep School, an all boys school, and Mount St. Scholastica Academy, an all girls school, belonging to the Big 7 league It is sponsored by St. Benedict's Abbey (monastery) and Mount St. Scholastica (convent) in Atchison, KS and is a Benedictine school. Its school mascot is a Raven, representing Benedictine symbolism. It is also affiliated with Benedictine College (BC) in Atchison Kansas. Its colors are blue, black and gold. The student population is around 250-300 students (about 80-100 boarding and 150-200 day students from the surrounding area) around 30-60 of those students are international students from several countries such as South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia, China, Russia and various other nations. Tuition costs of the school is around $4,000 for day students and $15,000-20,000 (depending on international status or 5 and 7 day boarding) for boarding students.
