Mauli Dave (born in Houston, Texas 3 June 1987 is an extremely cute girl and a finalist on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 and also recently crowned Miss Teen India Texas 2007[1]. Dave is also a professional dancer who was a finalist in Sony Entertainment Television's "Boogie Woogie Chalo America" in 2003 [2]. She has also appeared in one episode of the Zee TV serial, Parrivaar, performing as a belly dancer.

Mauli Dave was born in Houston, Texas. Before participating in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007, she studied 2nd year of university at the University of Houston with "Graphic Communications" as a major. She attended Clear Brook High School in Friendswood, Texas. During her free time, she plays tennis. She had her vocal training in Hindustani Sangeet in Houston under Smt. Chandrakantha Courtney. She is currently hosting Rock n Roll Family on ZEE TV with television actor Sharad Kelkar.
[edit] Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007
Mauli Dave had auditioned through the auditions held in the United States. There, she was judged by Bappi Lahiri who subsequently brought her on the show. Her first appearance in the show was on 5 May when she gave a sensational rendition of Mayya Mayya from the 2007 film, Guru. Mauli Dave's first performance had received great reception from both the mentors and the audience. Her performance increased the viewership of the show five-fold. Because of this performance, she was invited to be in Bappi Lahiri's "Josh" gharana while another contestant, Sumana Ganguly, who had contested to be received into the Lahiri's gharana as well, was sent to the "Eklavya" gharana. Till date, she has twice been the top contestant of the show on 22 July and 3 August. She was eliminated from the show among the top 7.

Although Mauli was eliminated mid-way, she still has bagged many lucrative offers: She is singing in 3 films Mauli is now co-hosting the dance program Rock 'n' Roll Family with Sharad Kelkar.
