Maulana Muhammad Yusuf Kandhalawi the father of Muhammad Ilyas was the preeminent daa'ee of his time and the second Ameer of the Tablighi Jamaat. His devotions and efforts for the spread of peace and Islam are unforgettable.

He led a simple but very busy life. He was worried about the muslims who were progressively giving up the islamic deeds, and those non-muslims who, should be saved from the hell fire. He used to say "it is the duty of all muslims to save every other person (whether muslim or non-muslim) from the hell fire".

His efforts are highly acknowledged among all the sects of Muslim community. His speeches and thought-provoking ideas for the spread of peace and humanity are highly praised all over the world.
