Maud Newton

Rebecca "Maud" Newton[1] is a writer, blogger, book reviewer and former lawyer who grew up in Miami.[2] Newton attended college and law school at the University of Florida and now lives in New York City, where she works as an editor.

Her blog has been cited in national and international newspapers and magazines since 2003, and her reviews have been published in newspapers such as the New York Times Book Review, Washington Post, Boston Globe, Los Angeles Times and Newsday.[3] Her essays and fiction have been published in the American Prospect, Maisonneuve, Swink and anthologized in When I Was a Loser and What We Do Now. She has appeared on BookTV and Talk of the Nation.[4] In 2004 she received the Irwin and Alice Stark Short Fiction Award from the City College of New York.[5]
