I hope you like this place — I sure do — and want to stay. Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read about the Five pillars of Wikipedia and simplified ruleset. If you need help on how to title new articles check out the naming conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style. If you need help look at Wikipedia:Help and the FAQ , plus if you can't find your answer there, check the Village Pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions)! There's still more help at the Tutorial and Policy Library. Plus, don't forget to visit the Community Portal. And if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my user talk page or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and someone will be by to help you shortly.
[edit] Additional tips
Here's some extra tips to help you get around in the 'pedia!
- If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
- You can sign your name using three tildes (~). If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Five will get you the datestamp only.
- You may want to add yourself to the new user log.
- If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
- If you're still entirely confused, or would like to get a better grasp of your wikipedia skills, and you have an IRC client (or don't mind getting one), check out the Bootcamp. It's not what it sounds like, but it is fun and can help you with your editing skills.
- If you're bored and want to find something to do, try the Random page button in the sidebar, or check out the Open Task message in the Community Portal.
[edit] License tagging for Image:4407a91f1474e-minai01-minai01.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:4407a91f1474e-minai01-minai01.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Cristiano Ronaldo Edit
Hey Matthew0820:
Welcome to Wikipedia!
I noticed the edit that you made on Cristiano Ronaldo recently, where you added the World Cup 2006 Portugal Team box. I deleted it because it's not needed anymore; the World Cup is over. I had deleted it previously and you added it, so I just wanted to make sure that you weren't going to add it on again! Thanks! :)

[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:4407a91f1474e-minai01-minai01.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:4407a91f1474e-minai01-minai01.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 23:46, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Lee Myung Bak
Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I changed the last edit a bit that you made to this article. Since there are no offical results that I can find (it's only 11:15pm here now) I've removed the statement about him winning the election. I would check the NEC site in the morning (I don't know if they'll post it in English or not, but you could check on the Korean site) and see if they have the offical numbers. My understanding is that it takes 3-4 hours to count the ballots and get offical numbers. Davidpdx (talk) 14:17, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] April 2008
Hi, the recent edit you made to De la has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing.
