The article doesn't establish any specific time frame that I can see, so I'm not sure how you can claim that it says it originated far later than it actually did. As for your being there when it came about, good for you. Unfortunately, the policy is verifiability, not truth. It doesn't matter what you know. The game your article is insisting it originated was released July 3, 2002. Starsiege Tribes was released Nov 30, 1998. Super Battle Arena where the word originated began Feb, 1999.  :)—Preceding unsigned comment added by Mattelot (talk • contribs)

You keep bringing up Warcraft, but the article doesn't mention Warcraft...other than the pop culture reference to South Park's WoW episode. I still don't see this time frame that speaks of when the term originated. It only says that it likely began as a typo. I'm reading the discussion as well and people keep bringing up Warcraft. I also see lots of information in the discussion as well as the article inventing information in regards. If you don't want to believe me or even the article not showing when it happened, whats the point of having an origin section to begin with? I know when it started, which is why i'm so interested in this topic. It could very well prove a major flaw in Wiki's system.
