Hello and welcome to Wikipedia!
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- Try the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the test area.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- Remember Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!
P.S. One last helpful hint. To sign your posts like I did above (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
[edit] Move to Matthew Miller (pundit)
Greetings. You found Matt and Matthew Miller pages in a mess, and should be congratulated for trying to help. Two points should be noted, however. The move should have been done using the (Move) tab at the top of the page, not by cutting and pasting the entire text. That creates copyright havoc by separating the text from its history. I have flagged it so that administrators will piece the history together again, supposedly a slightly tricky task. The other point is to learn, and try to adhere to, the special style of disambiguation pages as shown in MoS:DP, after reading the prereq course WP:D. Some of the editors who frequently work on disambig pages are pretty touchy about them. Of course, if you only plan to work on disambiguation pages that have the same name as yours, you may disregard this message. If you have any questions about this or other topics, please invade my talk page. Happy editing! Chris the speller 02:21, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
