Matthew T. Bracy is General Counsel of Settlement Capital Corporation [1] in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Bracy, as the chief legal officer for the company, is responsible for all company legal matters, including litigation and corporate legal issues. In addition, Mr. Bracy is active in government relations on behalf of Settlement Capital and the industry trade group, the National Association of Settlement Purchasers, coordinating legislative efforts in various states and the federal government. He is a contributor to blog articles concerning the structured settlement factoring industry, appearing on The Factoring Channel[2], in addition to podcasts found on the Legal Broadcast Network / The Settlement Channel [3] and the Factoring Channel. Mr. Bracy has a Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Irvine,[4] and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston [5].

Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
